Weddings

Music in the Catholic wedding is meant to reflect the sacramental nature of the occasion, and to acknowledge the love of God, as well as the love of the bride and groom. Thus, all music at a Catholic wedding mass or ceremony must be sacred, and reflective of the sacrament.

On the following form, begin by indicating whether you are having a wedding mass (including the Eucharistic Rite and reception of Communion) or ceremony only. You will then be guided to choose music for corresponding parts of the liturgy. The selections on the form are suggestions, and meant to give some examples of appropriate music. Selections not on this website may be permitted; in the “other” box identify your chosen alternative by Title and Composer, and please check with Michelle Rego, Director of Liturgy and Music for approval.

There are also times when you will need to reference your “Together of Life” book, please have that handy.
