9/11 Memorial Concert
The St. Petersburg Festival Choir will present Gabriel Fauré's "Requiem" on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the United States. This memorial concert is free and open to the public. The 65-voice choir and 25-piece chamber orchestra will be directed by Dwight Thomas, Director of Music at the Cathedral.

This is the third event in the 2011-2012 Evenings with the Maestro series, featuring discussions of musical ideas and live performances by Michelle Rego and other St. Petersburg Opera artists. The programs are designed to enhance the understanding of opera and music in general and will last approximately 90 minutes.
